## Ready-to-use descriptions

**One sentence (~25 words):** Thingular is the home for your things and the stories behind them: photograph a thing, tell its story in your own voice, and watch your home come together, room by room.

**Short paragraph (~50 words):** Every thing has a story. Thingular is the home for your things and the stories behind them. Photograph a thing in under five seconds, record the person who knows its story, and the transcript writes itself while the voice stays. Your things live where they live, room by room, and the inventory happens on its own. Transcription and naming run on the device; the family’s voices stay in their own iCloud.

**Full paragraph (~100 words):** Thingular is the home for your things and the stories behind them. Photograph a thing, tell its story in your own voice, and watch your home come together, room by room. A thing is captured in under five seconds; its name, room and date can wait. Record Mum telling the story of the clock, or Dad on the record he bought in 1978: the transcript writes itself, and the voice stays. The app is built for a visit to the parents’ home: walk through it with them, one thing at a time, and send the story cards to the family the same evening. They install nothing. Transcription and naming happen on the device, the family’s voices stay in their own iCloud, and everything can be exported at any time; if the subscription lapses, everything stays readable and playable. Thingular is made by Arnaud Joubay, the one-person company behind No Meat Today, No Treat Today, Tortuba, Emojym and Pyup. TestFlight in November 2026, App Store in December 2026, for iPhone, iPad and Mac.

## About

Every thing has a story. Thingular is the home for the things in your life and the stories behind them: photograph a thing, tell its story in your own voice, and watch your home come together, room by room.

Inventory is a side effect of the stories, never the pitch. The name is Thing + singular: one thing at a time.
### The Christmas visit

The first journey is a visit to the parents’ home. Add their Home, pick its rooms, and start a visit: photograph a thing, pick a prompt, record the parent’s story, next. After ten things the app asks for the parent’s Seven, the things that matter most and who should have them. The recap counts what was kept, in their voice, and every story becomes a card the family can receive the same evening. The parent installs nothing.
### Stories are voice-first

A story is audio and a photo, not video. The transcript is a by-product, written on the device in English, French or Finnish. Heirloom, collection and inventory are lenses on the same things, not modes.
### On-device by default

Thingular ships no analytics SDK and no third-party SDKs; its privacy label is Data Not Collected. Photos and voices stay on the device and in the family’s own iCloud. Export everything, anytime; a lapsed subscription goes read-only, never locked.
